Copthorne batted first and Maresfield fielded well - with Copthorne scoring just 37 runs off the first 9 overs. Then Phillipa came out to bat and stared to push the score on.
Copthorne ended on 84 with Phillipa top scoring on 29 runs not out. Sue Hunt took 3 wickets - the 1st 1 at the end of the 1st over and her 2nd wicket in the middle of the 5th over (Sue’s 2nd over).
Cherry then got in on the action with a low (and very laid-back) catch by Sara and in her next over (the 12th overall), she bowled Gail with her wonderful dolly bowling.
Sue got a further wicket and Sheila got one in the last over, a super catch by TK.
Maresfield then went out to bat
With the absence of Ali today, Lesley opened with Sue and then played well together until Sue was caught out for 20 runs at the end of the 5th over. Cherry joined Lesley and they both batted well to get us to 84 runs before Lesley retired on 33 runs. Kandice joined Cherry who then retired (I’m sure it was nothing personal!) and so Vicky and Kandice ended the innings batting together. They scored 18 and 13 respectively.
