After holding the big hitters down, Tip4Six took encouragement into their innings. Chasing 109 and a scoring 69 after the first five overs, Tip4Six sensed a comfortable victory. After Beth Powers took a wicket in that over and a further two in the seventh it looked like a collapse may have been on the cards. Doug added to the a wicket totals in the sixth over and then securing a run out from Sean in the final over it was down to the retired batsman to return to the crease and snatch victory with a boundary and only five balls remaining.
Great fielding from the young Tip4Six side but a lack of concentration on the crease saw this exciting game to a full term. A one handed catch taken at full speed and full stretch by Sean Powers saw the game fought to the last and sets high expectations for the coming season. -
